Check your Service Schedule for engine code, year and chassis number

It is really, really straightforward to order a water pump.
Firstly, after having selected either Audi water pumps or VW water pumps you then drill down to find the model, eg, Audi A3 and then drill down again to find the specific model; eg Audi A3 1.8
You are now presented with several water pumps which are suitable but you need to ensure that you get the correct one.

To do this, you need to look at your Service Schedule to find out your:

- engine code
and

- chassis number

You now have all the information you need to be able to select the correct water pump.

An example: how to check your Service Schedule

Joe Bloggs has an 2003 Audi A4 1.8t Avant Quattro. Here’s how he found his water pump.
From the main Audi water pumps page, he clicked onto the Audi A4 water pump page
Joe looks at his service schedule to find out the information relevant to his particular vehicle. Here’s what his Service Schedule looks like

1 : this long number here is the chassis number (*as this is a real sample, we have replaced the actual numbers with 0 so as to preserve Joe’s privacy)

2 : This is Joe’s particular model (in this instance, “A4 Avant Quat 1.8″)

3 : This is the year of manufacture

4 : This is the engine code (in this instance “AMB”)
